...that was actually pleasant.
Are you sure this is Aphex Twin!?
Also, I am shocked that this is the sample that Kanye used in Blame Game. It's actually beautiful.

Yes and yes. They actually announced their new album earlier today. So got inspired to listen to them again. I almost forgot about this one.

He bought a grand piano that can be played by computer. It's called a 'Diskclavier' and it's made by Yamaha. It's exactly like a straightforward grand piano but the keys can be controlled by a computer via MIDI – the musical instrument digital interface. Richard James cannot read conventional musical notation and he cannot play a keyboard so, in order to make the piano and prepared piano pieces that appear on 'Drukqs' he prepared his Diskclavier according to the principles established by John Cage and programmed the playing using a computer. The results are there for all to hear. It's a real piano on Drukqs, not a sampler or a synthesizer.
The beat/whoosh sound in the background is the piano working to play the notes.

No exaggeration, I owe my career to RDJ.
60% of his output is unlistenable. The rest is more sublime than Mozart.
I could go on.

yeah, the new album announcement has gotten me in the mood for Aphex Twin again. I like the distinct differences in sound that he puts out, some are melodic and beautiful like this or Boy/Girl. then there are the obnoxiously amazing songs to fuck with people at a bar like Ventolin.
